Phew! It's been a long time since I shared some tunes for #ttt and I must say I missed doing that but just somehow never get the chance to since I always had something else to write and can't risk writing two posts sometimes 😅 Well, I didn't stop listening to music so I have a lot of songs I'd love to share on #ttt but I'm deciding to go with a few songs from my old playlist, songs that I've never got tired of listening to.
Songs from a favourite artist of mine... Alessia Cara

If there's another artist like Sia with the unique songs of great meanings, it would be Alessia for me as she has proven to make my heart wonder and puzzle at life with her meaningful songs. Her voice is something else to talk about but most importantly, is the motive behind every song she brings to my ears. I wouldn't want to say much even if I had so much to say about her because I feel her songs does a whole lot of talking about who this amazing artist is.
I'll share three of her songs from my playlist and hope that you do get the meaning from them as much as I did... There are more of her songs but yeah, these three hold dear to me more.
Wild Things
This song got all the vibes I must say, so much confidence in her lyrics and shows how much more youths could be their best if they are allowed to be. But then, she promotes with this song that we don't have to listen to what other says to be who we want to be wether a rebel or a great personality 😅 we should just do us.
A part of the lyrics always gets me...
We don't care what they say no way, no way
And we will leave the empty chairs
To those who say we can't sit there
We're fine all by ourselves
No need to let anyone make you feel low of yourself, instead see how great and unique of a person you are that makes them feel insecure around you 😉
Seventeen
They are her words but borrowed from her parents who taught her so much when she was growing and she emphasized so much on how life was better when she didn't understand what they said during her teen age. Even I have always thought and wished life could be always fun as it was while I was growing up but then, we've got to take responsibility of our lives as humans... Ever growing! You get the vibe of the song too, right? I can't skip that lol.
I'm not sure I'm the only one who sees deep meaning to this song...
I was too young to understand what it means
I couldn't wait til I could be seventeen
I thought he lied when he said take my time to dream
Now I wish I could freeze the time at seventeen
Take your time to dream, there's no rush but then, I'll advice always to dream big and celebrate every little win 😉
River of Tears
I did a cover of this song sometime ago here on Hive and I can still remember how I felt singing it with much understanding that day. It's a sad song but there's one thing with sad songs, they sink much deeper their meaning and essence. This song was no different in that aspect, she gave a deep explanation to being heart broken and mending a broken heart the hard way.
A line of her songs got me in awe when I thought deeply about it...
I realize that sometimes love brings you flowers
Then it builds you coffins
I know you might have thought about it before but having a rethink on it won't be so bad, I think this has a lot of message to send to you.
I do hope you enjoyed the songs as much as I always do when I play her songs from my old playlist, what do you think about these Alessia's songs?
