Hello everyone, welcome to Afri-tunes week 19.
For this week, I decided to sing one of my favorite Nigerian songs, “your smile by Tjan”, I remember when I first heard this song, and I was memorized by the lyrics.
As a girl who is a lover, songs like this are special to me because they make me believe in love and Romance; cliche right?
Anyways, the only sad part about this song is how undervalued Tjan is because he is truly an amazing artist; this song is proof of that but I guess it is what it is.
The lyrics to this song speak of love in the purest form and as someone who loves smiling, it has the added advantage of being about smiling.
Well, I do hope you enjoy my rendition of this song, and thank you for watching.
LYRICS: YOUR SMILE BY TJAN
Mama, Mama
I can't believe what I'm about to do
I think I've found
The girl I'd like to bring back home to you
She is my alake, asake
E wo ni mo fe
My aduni, abeni
Aponbebore
My everything, all I need
Think I've found the love of my life
She's the answer to my question
My real eminado
You are my good luck charm
Wherever I go
I'll come back to your arms
I no go chop outside
I no go sleep outside
Till I come home back to your smile
Oya, bamijo
Oya, bamijo
Oya, bamijo
Till I come home back to your smile
I can't, I can't wait to start a family with you
When we have babies
One will look like me and one like you
'Cause you are my alake, asake
E wo ni mo fe
My adunni, abeni
Aponbepore
My everything, all I need
Think I've found the love of my life
She's the answer to my question
My real eminado
You are my good luck charm
Wherever I go
I'll come back to your arms
I no go chop outside
I no go sleep outside
Till I come home
Back to your smile
Oya, bamijo
Oya, bamijo
Oya, bamijo (Bamijo, bamijo, my baby)
Till I come home back
Back to your smile
And if this is just a dream
Please don't wake me up
Girl if I have to fight
I won't give you up
Ayanfe mi
Olomi
So glad I can call you mine
You're the one thing I've been missing
My really eminado
You are my good luck charm
Wherever I go
I'll come back to your arms
No go chop outside
No go sleep outside
Till I come home back to your smile
Oya, bamijo
Oya, bamijo (Dance with me, eh)
Oya, bamijo
Till I come home back to your smile
