Hello friends of Hive, welcome once again to my page. My name is @oluthomas, and it is truly a great privilege to be alive today and to witness this remarkable Week 194 of the Africa Hive Weekly Prompt. I am grateful for the strength, inspiration, and opportunity to share something meaningful with you all.
For this week’s entry, I will be doing a cover of two worship songs, one is a chant, and the other is a regular worship song. These songs did not just come by chance; they came to me during a moment of deep prayer and meditation. While I was praying, my mind became calm and focused, and suddenly these two songs began to echo within my spirit. I found myself singing them unconsciously, and the more I sang, the more I felt connected to something beyond the physical realm.
The first song is a chant by Apostle Michael Orokpo. One amazing thing about chant songs is that they are not always heavy with lyrics sometimes they are just sweet sounds. Sometimes, they are made up of just a single word, a phrase, or a repetitive line, yet they carry profound and a mystical meaning. Chanting has a special spiritual effect in our lives and its simplicity opens the heart and spirit to deeper encounters. When I chant, I feel as though I am travelling in the spirit. It enables me to access realms I cannot physically explain, and it positions my mind for spiritual sensitivity and insight.
That is why chants are not just songs; they are experiences mostly from the secret place. They have the power to calm, ignite, and transform. The second worship song I chose complements the chant by bringing a more expressive form of worship to our God. Together, they minister to my soul and remind me that worship is beyond melody it is a pathway to divine encounters and to receive from our maker.
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope this week’s entry blesses you as much as it blessed me. Amen
