It's another beautiful day of the week and another week of participation in our weekly contest. A massive hello to everyone here on this platform and I trust our day is all going as planned wherever we are?. This week, I'm doing a song by Asa titled "Bibanke".
I could remember while growing up, my elder sister loves Asa so much that she'd play her songs on her phone playlist almost everyday, she even got inspired by Asa with her guitar skill and this prompted my sister to go learn how to play the guitar and I must say she was doing a good job with the guitar until adulthood began to set in 😁. She made me know most of the lyrics of the songs because she had always wanted me to sing while she plays the guitar (big sister things 😀).
Bi' ban ké in Yoruba language means " when/while I cry". The song Bibanke was released on the 1st of January, 2007 in the album named after herself "Asa"
Asa is a top notch Nigerian-French female singer, song writer, producer and instrumentalist. She's one of the most respected female music entertainer in Nigeria and abroad.. She's a very beautiful woman with a unique voice, and she's also very natural.
Enjoy the presentation of my entry..... Thanks for always stopping by my post and for your supports so far, a big hug from me to y'all 🤗.
LYRICS
Bi' Ban Ké"
I wake up I see you
As you leave
I feel it, I see it
As you leave
When we kiss I want deep
But you're far away
Bi ban ké bo bi ban shun
Fi mi si le
Bi' ban ké bo jo ba n ro
Fi mi si le
He used to be my everything
Treated me like I was a queen
What spell did u cast on me?
Or is it a make believe?
You say girl never be afraid
Of ever ever loving me
Those words I hung on to
Oh God I was a fool
You became my bad habit
Keeping up appearances
So you could notice
Even when you suddenly
Picked your things and left the keys
That's crazy
Bi' ban ké bo ban shun
Fi mi si le
Bi' ban ké bo jo ba n ro
Fi mi si le
Bim ban ke o o o o
Ko kun ba si a
Fi mi si le
Bi ban ke o o o o
Ko kun basia
Ko kun basia
Bi ban ke o o o o
Ko kun basia
Ko kun basia
Mo ti foro mi fo lu wa
Ko sho, ko sho wa
Mo ti foro mi fo lu wa
Ko sho, ko sho wa
Iwo iwo nikan soso [repeats]
When I'm crying
When I'm dying
Just leave me alone
I could cry a river
Or a waterfall
Just leave me alone
Leave me alone
I could cry a river
