Hello Afri-tunes community and all music lovers, I hope we're all doing wonderfully well. For this week of Afri-tunes week #57, I'll be sharing with us a cover version of a song titled "Alanu" by Judikay.
Still in the week of Easter, we give all glory to God our saviour because He died for the remission of our sins on the cross of Calvary and He also resurrected so we can have life and have it in abundance. He paid the price on the cross, even though we're the one in debt yet He paid it all and set us free. He endured all the pain, all the insults, all the whips, the shame, the embarrassment so that we might be saved.
The love of God towards us is beyond measure, nobody can love us like the way He did, and through believing in Him we can also have everlasting life. What else can we do than to reciprocate the love He has for us, the first and greatest commandment.
The chorus of this song is so touching, I don't know why am so in love with it, I wish I have someone that could help me play the keyboard lols... that's by the way.
Oba alanu (the merciful king) showing mercy to all without looking at how difficult we can be as humans, He's still very loving and merciful.
I hope you'll enjoy this little musical piece, thanks. 🥰
song lyrics
Your mercies are new every morning
This is everlasting
This is never ending
Your covenant is sure
Your kingdom has no end
This is everlasting
Oba alanu
Olorun iyanu
Nigbogbo ono eshe o
Oba alanu
Olorun iyanu
Nigbogbo ono eshe o
From cradle days I have never seen you forsake your beloved
It is not what you do
Now I am older
I barely see that
Ohh
Your banner over me is love
This just who you are o
