Gameweek 31 also known as Blank gameweek 31 (BGW 31) starts on 16th March. As the name implies this will be an unique gameweek.
Liverpool, City, Arsenal and Chelsea played during the week. Liverpool and Arsenal had tough fixtures and thus needed to go all out in order to qualify. Fortunately for Arsenal they won’t be playing this week. Liverpool and Chelsea will be playing on Sunday, and should be fully rested for their respective matches.
Tottenham is going into a slump and now they have 4 match in a row without a victory. Arsenal, United and Chelsea are getting too close from them. The difference between 3rd and 6th place is 4 points
With 3 losses in a row Burnley is getting too close into the relegation zone. Unfortunately for them they were one of the few teams in the relegation battle that lost a match during the last gameweek. The other team that lost was Crystal Palace, which is now only 5 points away from 18th place and has been overtaken by Newcastle.
This week will only feature 5 game, due the other half having to play the FA Cup or having to play against a team playing the FA cup.
Bournemouth will be playing against Newcastle. The cherries are usually stronger at home, they are the best home team outside the top 6. Newcastle is however the best team when it comes to form outside of the top 6, with 10 points in their last 5 game. I think Bournemouth should win this match.
Burnley will be playing against Leicester. The Foxes are looking better after getting a new manager.
West Ham will be hosting Huddersfield, and they should win this match without a problem. Huddersfield has the lowest amount of goals scored and West Ham is usually better at home.
The first match on Sunday will be Fulham vs Liverpool. Fulham unfortunately has the worst defence and Liverpool has the second best offensive returns so far. When it comes to form Fulham has lost all their last 5 matches, the worst form overall, whereas Liverpool has been struggling with 3 draws recently.
Fulham looks defeated and their new caretaker manager Scott Parker hasn’t been able to turn things around.
For Liverpool this will be a must win if they want to have a chance for their title challenge.
Joe Gomez won’t be available for Liverpool, Oxlade Chamberlain did recover recently
For Fulham Mawson and Bettineli won’t be available due to knee injuries
Possible starting Lineups:
Fulham: Rico, Odoi, Nordtveit, Ream, Bryan, Chambers, McDonald, Cairney, Babel, Sessegnon, Mitrovic
Liverpool: Allison, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Lovren, Robertson, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Mané, Salah, Firmino
Everton and Chelsea will be the last match of the gameweek. Chelsea recently obliterated Dynamo Kiev, they were able to rest many of their starter players, such as Hazard and Higuain, so they should be available for Sunday.
I advise all of You to use the free hit for this week, if you haven’t yet.
If You want to plan for the longer term, take into account that Leicester, Arsenal, Bournemouth and Brighton have the most favorable fixtures.
