Many years ago I purchased the historic Album "Dark Side of the Moon" on vinyl about a year after it was first released. An incredible Album no matter what your Musical taste may be. Several years later I was listening to some Reggae tracks on my radio. The Radio DJ announced that a new album had just been released as a tribute to the mighty Rock Band "Pink Floyd".
He played the track "Money", which was a song that I knew very well. The original Pink Floyd version begins with the sound of cash coins ( a very recognizable sound ) that we are all familiar with. The old "Cash Register", if you remember that machine in most retail shops.
However, the Reggae version begins with the sound of someone coughing, while using a Hookah Pipe (a water pipe) used for smoking Ganja, Tobacco, Shisha or anything else that you fancy! LOL
As the track continues you can clearly hear the bubbles bubbling away in the glass base of the Hookah. A very clever twist I remember thinking at the time. Hearing the single for the first time inspired me to buy the whole Album, which is awesome in my opinion. I do still play it now and then, as it brings back such great memories of my youth.
So enough rambling from me, now have a listen to this cool Reggae version of "Money".
