Never had hops as tea, it's good to know of its healing effects! Around here grows a varitey that people call "wild hops" but I'm not sure there's such a thing. It just has very little "flowers", while the ones on your photo look like pinecones!
A friend of mine tried to brew a few batches of beer at home and it turned out that you cannot just use ANY type of hops, there are dozens of varieties, some must be used dry, other fresh... It seems like a whole other world and I'm always amazed by crafty artisanal things and knowledge. Might start looking around for a nice variety to plant on some edge and probably even try hops tea!
