Children’s love stuffs to be like marvels, when it is not sparkling, very shiny, they will consider it boring, and not to be their thing. As a parent, if you are buying stuff for your children’s, you will see that they love stuff’s that shine’s or something that at least has an attractive color.
Meanwhile, adult don’t see thing’s this way, as a matter of fact, adult prefer their stuff’s to have color that do not shine, because the understanding is already there that, not all that glitters are gold.
Speaking of myself, right now that I am an adult, I don’t like stuffs that glitters, I preferred my stuffs to be new if it was, but not having an attractive style. And these are the way I buys what I want, but when I was a child, this whole idea of having items that is not sparkling wasn’t in me, Infact, if it was not shiny, you just have to count me out, and the same was for my siblings.
We were all children’s that love and adore shiny stuff’s. On that day, my mom bought a toy for us, it was a water game, I do not know if you can still remember that stuff. The game was in a rubber form, like a handset, although it size was always bigger than an handset. It was played in a way that. when you pressed the button, it would shoot up, and hang on the two sided rubber poll. And you win when you are able to make those tiny rubber get inside the rubber polls.
What happened was that, mom has promised me and my brother the water game. She then, gave us some palm Kernel to picked, upon how big was the palm kernel we were picking, we didn’t mind, all I and my brother was thinking of was the game.
We had discussed how we are going to play it in school with our friends during recesses, so we finished picking the palm kernel that day, and it was the next day that she delivered her promised, yet they was still a problem.
Which was on the color of the game she choose, my brother’s own was okay, because it was yellow color, but mine was brown, and she didn’t know how much i dislike that brown color, because it was not shiny or sparkling like i expected my stuff to be.
I didn’t take it, mom had to change it, she gave the game to someone who went to that store the next day, and I was very happy to receive a red color game the next day.
Only the red color alone got me satisfied, I smile very much, because in my heart, I was already considering myself as a champion.
In my child age, I have learnt some stuff, and all those were lessons, which makes me to understand that, it is not as we want thing’s to be, that we will always see them, so when I become a father, I will always tell my children’s to understand that, things do not come as we plan, but in whatever way, they should appreciate and continue to do their best.
