Blessed Sunday!
Last Friday I had the pleasure of going to a hotel that had a breakfast and a dinner buffet. You see, at the moment in the Japan the government has two initiatives going on to stimulate the economy. One is called Go to travel and the other is called Go to eat and they both work hand in hand.
All across Japan at hotels you can get up to 40% off the cost and once you go to the hotel you get Go to eat tickets you can use in the same prefecture as the hotel or in a neighboring prefecture. You can even use these tickets at the convenient
store. The only catch is they have to be used within 2 days. For Go to eat you can also order food online and earn points from participating restaurants that can be used to purchase your next meal or the points can be traded for other point systems tone used in retail stories ( sounds like crypto points they used to talk about years ago ).
Lets take a look at the buffet
Now while I didn’t take pics of everything, I tried to get a few! Gotta do it for the #DashOutSunday

As you can see they had a wide variety, vegans would be happy too as there was an abundance of fruits, veggies and tofu based dishes. On occasions like this I find it very strange to eat rice. Why full yourself with all that fluff when you got the good stuff

The veggie sticks, I think I had about three of those. It was my way of getting my stomach balanced for all the meat I was about to eat and the liquor 🥃 that was to come.

The pic above is in the lobby leading to the buffet area. Not sure what they were but they did look fancy, kinda flower-ish. The dining area was spacious and easy to social distance. At first the place was pretty empty but slowly filled up. I guess many are taking advantage of the Go to travel and Go to eat campaigns. ( Breaking news, Japan just hit its highest Covid count of 3,000 people infected in a day)

The good thing about this buffet is they had a dedicated Japanese food section then a variety all around. So even if someone didn’t like Japanese food, they’d find something good amongst the sea of food.
It’s still insane to me that we are so free to do shit like this here.

Above is the third or second plate I had. I changed plates at least 4 times. My twins ate so much ice cream I was surprised they didn’t shit themselves 😂.

The sweets were small and bite size which was good because most people ( well myself ) weren’t really focusing on that. One bite of a mini cheesecake and I was good.

Here is that first pic of the post. 95% chicken. Roast chicken, grilled chicken, stew chicken, fried chicken and some other chicken and beef 😂. N🍚 rice !

A radon pic on the wall, looked Versace-ish... 😆

I forgot to mention that I went to this place with a group of people, 17 do be exact. Kids galore and drunkards too. It was a loud night filled with every emotion you can think of. All in good fun though. The pic above was the first breakfast plate, I only had two plates for breakfast though, and a lot of coffee.

Why DashOutSundays ? Simple, just a way to bring variety to the feed once a week and a way for anyone to get involved in the Reggaejahm community. Food and music bring the people together.... liquor and weed too 😂
