Hello Everyone! it's good to be back again on Hiveopenmic weekly consert. I hope i meet everyone well? Moving on, this is my presentation for this week on the theme that says Divorce/Separation, Therefore, i'd be performing a cover of a song by Ed Sheeran titled Happier.
Talking about the theme, it's quite emotional one when you think about it, you know when you heard about a couple that "probably" you went for their wedding ceremony suddely filed for divorce and went there separate ways. It's just so sad when married couples breaks things off, most especially when they already have kids. Then it become tough for the kids to balance their love life relationship with both of them (the parents).
In honest truth, Divorce/Separation is our reality although it's something that shouldn't happen in the first place but when you think about it in another angle like being in a Toxic Relationship then it's better you find your way out of the marriage as quickly as possible for you to have your freedom and peace of mind.
I believe love is always not enough, it's ones character, attitude, selflessness, level of tolerance etc, should all be put into consideration before jumping into a Marriage or Starting a Relationship. The problem of nowadays is we (both genders) prefer beautiful and shining things and we always ended up regreting 90% out of 100% (I might be wrong, this is just my opinion anyways)
Now the reason why i choose to perform this song is because it talks alot about separation, if you listen to this song probably some days after a breakup and your feelings still lingers towards the person then believe me this song might make you cry because it's that emotional.
At some point in life we'll all go through heartbreaks in our love life and believe me i've had my own share on that. It's just so weird and sad how lovers can become strangers quickly. I'm just imagining this that if a separation from mere courtship can hurt so much what about the ones that got divorced? Well, it's something i'll try hard not to experience because nobody knows what tomorrow holds and i pray the ones that had gone through "divorce" phase in life, get that peace of mind they all desired and deserved.
