Hello everyone, this is Hive Music Festival Week 143, Round 2.
For this week’s rendition, I decided to do a cover of the song “Favour” by Lawrence Oyor, a renowned Nigerian gospel minister and prophetic minstrel. Lawrence Oyor’s music has become a tremendous blessing, not only to many people in Nigeria but also across the globe. His songs carry deep spiritual meanings and are often filled with prophetic declarations that uplift the soul.
Personally, I must say that Lawrence Oyor's songs have had a significant impact on my spiritual journey. He is one of the gospel ministers I hold in high esteem because of the way his songs minister deeply to the spirit and soul. His delivery is always unique, heartfelt, and spirit-filled.
The particular song I covered, “Favor,” is a powerful declaration of God’s abundant favor upon our lives. It's more than just a song, it’s a prophetic message that reminds us of the undeserved love and grace that God pours on us daily. Sadly, many people, including myself at one point, live under the covering of God’s favor without even recognizing it. But this song opened my eyes to that reality and helped me appreciate God’s kindness even more. For that, I’m forever grateful to the minister for yielding to God and releasing such a powerful message.
Also, I must commend the effort of the entire team that worked on the original version. The lead vocals, backup singers, and instrumentalists all did a fantastic job. Their combination brought out a melodious, impactful sound that makes the song even more powerful.
