It’s unreal what has happened to the land of my birth, Jamaica last week when hurricane Melissa made landfall. But for those who are on the ground, it is reality.

Being thousands of miles away, I have a feeling of guilt that I wasn’t there to experience the category 5 hurricane along with my fellow Jamaicans and that I’m not there to help rebuild. But such is life in this globalized world.
My family and friends in Jamaica are mainly in Kingston and they were safe from the brunt of the storm. I can’t say the same for many of my fellow Jamaicans here living in Japan. Many who have displaced relatives they can’t get in contact with and others who have lost homes and more. A friend of mine here in Japan lost his mom which is indirectly linked to the hurricane as she had high blood pressure and heart problems. She died a few days after the hurricane.
While I’m grateful that my family and friends are good. I hurt and feel the pain of my fellow Jamaicans, many who have lost everything. But Jamaica will rise!

Conspiracy Theory?
There is a theory going around that one of the affected areas, St Elizabeth is supposed to be become a smart city by 2030. So the hurricane was steered towards that side of the island 🏝️ to clear the way.
Not sure what to believe but in these times, anything is possible. The technology is there. On the spiritual front, the creator has spared Jamaica countless times and many still continued in evil and turned away from God.
The point of this post is not to blame or theorize. But mainly to share that JAMAICA NEEDS help. So if you are in a position to donate, do so only through official channels as the scammers are doing what they do best.

Now Cebu, Philippines? 🇵🇭
Cebu also got hit by a massive storm ⛈️, seeing the images on X it is reminiscent of
Jamaica 🇯🇲 but in their case one storm
Passed and left extreme damage mainly through flooding and on top of that, there is another typhoon right behind it

Mother Nature sure seems angry these days. Could 3I Atlas have something to do with this? Global warming? Engineered? I say little of all the above. Pray 🙏 for the world. Don’t take anything for granted, be grateful for what you have in your life because in an instant it can all be gone.
