The morning began with a peaceful atmosphere and fresh air. In front of my house, the aroma of hot coffee greeted me as I started the day. Sip by sip, the delicious warmth of the coffee seemed to give me renewed energy and enthusiasm to face the day's activities. As I savored each sip, I gazed at the sky, which was beginning to turn golden, a sign that the sun would soon rise.
After that, I prepared to head to the rice fields. The ground was still slightly damp after the light rain last night, making the first steps a little heavy but enjoyable. My job today was to trample and level the soil, a simple routine that required effort and patience. Gradually, I began to settle into its rhythm. The sound of mud underfoot and the trickling of water in the embankment became a soothing natural soundtrack.
As midday approached, the sun was getting hotter. Sweat was pouring down my face, and I decided to rest for a moment under a tree. The gentle breeze was incredibly refreshing. After a break and a light lunch, I went to buy a new hat at a nearby shop. This hat wasn't just for head protection, but also a loyal companion to combat the sometimes scorching heat. Around 3:30 PM, I returned to the rice paddy to continue my work of trampling the remaining soil and tidying the borders of the fields, making them neat and ready for planting.
As evening approached, the sky began to soften, signaling that work was almost over. Before heading home, I sat for a while on the edge of the rice paddy, enjoying the fruits of the day's labor while gazing at the now more orderly expanse of land. When I got home, I didn't immediately rest. There was still one small activity I enjoyed: washing my motorcycle. Although my body felt tired, there was a special satisfaction in seeing a dirty motorcycle transformed into a clean and shiny one.
The day felt long but meaningful. From the morning cup of coffee to the mud and washing water in the afternoon, everything was part of a simple, calming journey: a blend of hard work, the serenity of nature, and gratitude for every moment of life. 🌾☕
