Hip-hop nowadays, especially in Africa has really been mixed up to contain many influences from different ither genres like highlife and afrobeat, soul and R&B and so on.
So rather than have the pure sounds of hip hop with emphasis on bass and all, we have it mixed up together with groove, shakers, percussion amd so many other elements.
So you could hear a groovy hiphop, a soulful hiphop, a ghetto hiphop, and even hiphop with cultural sounds.
Whochever way it is presented, it always has that flow that always have you spitting lines or rapping along.
In this piece, I try to sing with my saxophone as though I was singing an actual song, but it's all an in-the-moment improvisation, even including a chorusing part, just to give that additional perk of flow!
Enjoy my sax flow.
I hope you enjoyed it.
Thanks for Listening!
