This is another week in our lovely Afri-tunes Community, a community that fosters and spreads love on Hive blockchain through our African Tunes and music.
This is week 32 of our musical event in the Community, and this week marks the beginning of our Afri-tunes Musical Contest where the best musical entry, the second best entry and the best Engager wins Hive, Leo and Ecency points. This will be a weekly contest and we have prizes to be won every week, so don't miss out!!!

As a weak musician who barely listens to songs, I always have issues with regard to choosing songs to present in the Community. So I am really grateful to all those who suggested this new input of song suggestions in Afri-tunes Community because I will be one the major beneficiaries. However, you know this is optional, it is only for people like me who are going through same challenge.
Moral lesson: DON'T BE LIKE ME!!!
Between the gospel song (Imela by Nathaniel Bassey) and secular song (Common Person by Burna Boy), I decided to present the Gospel song IMELA!
"Imela" is an Igbo word that means "thank you."
This song is a song of thanksgiving to God for His greatness, mercy, love, kindness and provision. Indeed, He is our heavenly Father who is transcendent, yet is immanent; He is with us.
The past few days has been somehow for me, I don't know the right adjective to describe it. It has been a mixture of different feelings which I don't know how best to place them or the reason for their emergence. But I believe I'll overcome them, and in every situation it is wonderful to give thanks and priase to God. That's why I feel this song is apt and personal to me at this moment.
It is an expression of my profound gratitude to God amidst mu current situation.
So I dediced to present a guitar cover of this song, and as usual I played the chords, played the melody over the chords and added some lines to represent the choir part, especially for the chorus.
I hope you enjoy this piece and smile along with me.
