My earliest days on Hive were characterised by just musical posts; I practically never wrote. I first joined the Hive Open Mic community before eventually joining the Music Community. The Afri-tunes weekly contest was held there at the time. Eventually, the Afri-tunes Community was born, and I continued to contribute my share. I learned a lot in those early stages, and the entire Hive space gave me the opportunity to encounter new talented individuals and learn from them. Most importantly, it helped me realise the value of what I do.
Even though I had my setbacks, preparing music for weekly performances in about three communities has undoubtedly had an impact on my musical life. At some point, I pushed myself beyond what I thought was my limit. I grew to the extent that there have been occasions where I performed without prior preparation, and it actually turned out well. On three or four occasions, I have published a complete freestyle; all it took was sitting at the keyboard and singing whatever came to mind as I played. Funny enough, they all turned out amazing.

Before coming to Hive, it was the case that I only did gospel. I never thought I would have reasons to visit other genres; in fact, I never thought I could deal with them. With how far I have come, I have not only got reasons to perform other genres, I have also added to my compositions genres that are not gospel. Come to think of it, I do not think I would have had as many compositions as I do if it were not for Hive. Communities like Hive Open Mic sometimes inspire me to do original compositions that align with the week's topic. As a matter of fact, I have over ten compositions that were inspired by Hive.
Apart from having been pushed to attain levels that I formerly thought I could not, Hive has also caused me to love what I do even more. Amongst many other things, Hive has given me a community of people who appreciate me for what I do. Beyond mere appreciation, these people also understand my talent. As a musician, there is nothing more interesting than being appreciated by fellow musicians - those who really understand what you do. Getting amazing comments from such personalities is probably the highest level of appreciation you can ever get. You will end up deeply loving what you do.
Hive is the most beautiful platform I have ever come across, and I appreciate every moment I've spent on it. Most importantly, I appreciate the personalities that have made this place count. One Love, Guys✌️.
