Hi hivers. It’s been a while. This is my first post in over six months. Happy to be back in the game. I imagine I have a lot to catch up on.
I went through a stressful period. I had to slow down, stop, rest, relax and take time to re-start my activities.
Recently I caught up with a friend who also went through a stressful period. We were able to share and relate to each other’s experiences. We chatted, prayed together, laughed and hopped from cafe to cafe. Cafe hopping wasn’t our original plan. My friend is vegan and so we searched for vegan cafes or cafes with vegan options. We ended up going to three cafes not only because we wanted to see the options available but mainly because after going to the first, we were still hungry. After the second, we were okay-ish. We went the third to top things off.

Cafe #3 provided a lovely-fruity-flowery dessert. We had grapes and berries with rose jelly and some edible flowers . It was a beautiful, delicious and a perfect way to end the hop… eating petals. We couldn’t have missed the cute “Thank You” message on the plate.
Cafe #2 blessed us with a lovely bean burrito, salad, burger, guacamole and nachos and two lovely cups of tea. I had ginger tea but can’t remember the tea my friend chose. I remember that she enjoyed it and so did I.
Cafe #1 was the one we had planned for. There we had a plate special. It had a serving of brown rice, leafy salad, fried-mashed potatoes, lotus root, fried radish, lemon-flavored sweet potatoes and soy potage (soup). We also had fresh servings of apple juice. They were all good but we felt like we needed another serving or two. We then thought of hopping to another cafe … and then another.
It was a great way to unwind, relax, connect and catch up.
