The morning began with light steps toward the cornfield. The air was still fresh, dew clinging to the tips of the leaves, and the scent of wet earth greeted every step. Among the rows of plants, I noticed the corn's increasingly promising development. Several young ears were beginning to emerge from behind their sheaths, the leaves looking a vibrant green, a sign of good growth. It felt good to see the results of the past few weeks of hard work begin to show results.
As the afternoon approached, I returned to my routine of delivering bread to my regular shops. The city streets were bustling with traffic, and horns honked, but my spirits remained high. Every shop I visited greeted me with smiles and warm greetings, making the work feel less overwhelming. The smell of warm bread filling the car made the journey even more enjoyable.
In the afternoon, after all the bread had been delivered, I headed to the rice paddies to spray the crops. The sun was beginning to set in the west, casting a golden glow across the vast expanse. A gentle breeze made the young rice grains sway gently. I carefully made my way along the embankment, carrying the sprayer. Each spraying is an effort to keep the rice healthy from pests, ensuring a successful harvest.
The day feels busy, but the satisfaction comes from seeing everything run smoothly, from the corn fields to bread deliveries to rice paddy maintenance. All of this is part of a daily routine that continues to provide meaning.
