I start my mornings with a simple yet meaningful routine: enjoying a cup of hot coffee while opening the Hive app and preparing a post for the PhotographyLovers community. The still-calm morning atmosphere, accompanied by the distinctive aroma of coffee, gives me a refreshing start to the day. While sipping my coffee, I write a story and select a few photos to share with my fellow photography enthusiasts.
Once the post is complete, I move on to my main activity: preparing boxes of bread to be delivered to various regular shops. I neatly arrange the loaves in a pedicab for easy delivery. Every time I go around, I feel a special sense of satisfaction seeing smiling customers receive their warm, soft bread.
Today, one of my delivery routes took me to a small alley on the outskirts of Lhokseumawe. The alley is located in an area adjacent to the sea, surrounded by a unique and vibrant residential area. At high tide, the small alleys are usually flooded, resembling small canals. I paused, grabbed my camera, and captured some interesting angles that showcased both the beauty and the realities of life there.
After delivering bread to all my regular shops, I return home and continue my other task: making peci (traditional Indonesian peci). I sew these peci almost every afternoon. While it may seem trivial, this task requires precision and patience, especially in maintaining the neatness of the stitching and the shape of the peci to ensure it matches the customer's order.
By late afternoon, I'm starting to feel tired, but it's all worth it with satisfying results: the bread is sold out, the peci are almost finished, and I've captured some beautiful photos of the day. This activity may seem simple, but for me, every moment has its own story and value.
The aroma of coffee, the rolling wheels of a rickshaw, the calm waves of the ocean, and the hum of a sewing machine all combine to create a harmonious daily life for which I am grateful.
