I start my mornings with a hot cup of coffee, my constant companion to kick-start my routine. The strong aroma of coffee seems to give me renewed energy to face the day. While enjoying the warmth of my coffee, I continue sewing the peci (traditional prayer cap) I usually wear for religious services. I tidy up each stitch to ensure a comfortable and neat finish.
After the sewing is complete, I head to the rice fields. The fresh air and green scenery always provide a sense of serenity. I clear the borders of the rice fields, which are beginning to grow weeds. Even as the sun rises, my enthusiasm for tending the land remains strong throughout the day. For me, working in the rice fields isn't just about the harvest, but also about maintaining a connection with nature and being grateful for the blessings of the land.
Towards evening, after all the work is done, it's time to relax with my family. We decide to take a stroll on our motorcycles to enjoy the cool and peaceful afternoon atmosphere in the village. Afterward, we stop at a bustling night market. The colorful atmosphere, twinkling lights, and music create a lively atmosphere. We had the chance to ride a small train that circled around the night market area the laughter of children and the happy faces of families made for a beautiful end to a long day.
The day truly felt complete it started with hard work and ended with togetherness and joy. Hopefully, tomorrow will bring renewed enthusiasm and even more wonderful stories.
