Greetings to this amazing community!

To the past winners, participants, and our incredible judges — @lordbutterfly, @verbal-d, @silentscreamer — it's such a joy to be back. It’s been a while, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss this space deeply.
!

Now, it’s The Oldies Week — and I couldn’t be more excited! Songs from this era are timeless. They carried soul, artistry, and depth. Often, they were so rich in meaning that you’d need to look up the lyrics just to grasp the full message. That’s the kind of music that lingers in your heart.

With my entry, I pay tribute to the golden legends — Judy garland, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, and many more — not just for their unforgettable voices, but for the legacy they left behind.

For this week, I’ve chosen to cover one of my all-time favorite classics:
🎶 "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Judy Garland 🎶

It’s a song of hope, longing, and dreams — and I’ve reimagined it in my own unique way. I truly hope it blesses and moves you as much as it does me.

Much love always 💛
— Dotun

LYRICS
Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high
There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream, really do come true

Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow, why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little blue birds fly beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?
