For AfriTunes Week 218, I did a cover of Hunger by Theophilus Sunday, a gospel minister from Nigeria. This is a deep spiritual song that talks about our hunger for God. Some people truly had a strong hunger for God, but along the line they grew cold and their love for Him faded.
No matter what you are going through in life, don’t allow your love for God to grow cold. It is just like when humans naturally feel hungry, and suddenly a person no longer feels hunger again. Whether they eat or not, they still feel okay. At that point, something is wrong and medical attention is needed to avoid further complications.
In the same way, if you were once on fire for God, feeding on His word, having fellowship and intimacy with Him, but later backslid, then this song is for you. Cry unto the Lord to restore your hunger for Him once again.
