It’s another great and amazing week of the Hive Open Mic weekly contest, and this week is truly one of a kind because of the powerful theme of Original Songs. We were all encouraged to come up with something fresh and inspired, and immediately I saw this as a moment to be intentional and creative.
As soon as I saw the theme, I began to meditate on what song to sing. While praying and reflecting, a song came into my mind, one that speaks about the goodness of God, His message, and His majesty. It talks about how He reigns forever, and how to His government there is no end. From there, I began to arrange the song.
While singing, you’ll notice that I included a short rap section🫡🫢 drawn directly from Scripture. I referenced John 3:16–17, John 10:10, and lastly Psalm 23. This song is deeply rooted in the Word of God, and that was my main inspiration throughout the process.
My prayer is that through this song, the name of the Lord will be glorified and lifted high above every other name.
Thank you very much for your time and for listening.
Special thanks to our dear facilitator and moderator, @Jesusnrl, for coming up with such a thoughtful theme that challenged us to think deeply and be creative. May the good Lord bless him richly.
Lyrics
Glory to the one who lives and reign forevermore
Yahweh is your Name
Yahweh is Your Name
Glory to the one who lives and reign forevermore
Yahweh is your Name

Rap from John 3:16 -17
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that who so ever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not sent his Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through him.
Rap 2. John 10:10
The thieves come only to kill steal and to destroy but Jesus came to give us life in abundance.
