Hello people, and welcome to Hive Open Mic week 170. The week has been filled with different emotions for me, but I am glad to be here with all of you. Music has always been an outlet for me, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share it with you.
After checking what the theme for the week is, I saw that it is cacao. At first, I thought about singing a song about the sweet taste of chocolate, and the bittersweet memories it brings. But I couldn't think of any songs.
So then I decided to try and research different songs about cacao, and I was surprised to find out that there were a lot of songs out there about the topic. After some searching, I was able to find several songs, but I just didn't know the lyrics.
I also thought about how Adele's song 'Easy on Me' relates to the theme cacao or chocolate.
Adele's 'Easy on Me' lyrics hint at why she divorced her husband despite how 'hard' she tried The lyrics suggest that she was not able to make the relationship work despite her best efforts. She expresses her sadness and regret for the failed relationship but ultimately realizes that it was the right decision. She states that she is now content with her life and is stronger for it. Well, that's what I think.
While singing, I became emotional because I am going through a similar situation I could relate to her lyrics. I felt her pain and her strength at the same time, and it gave me the courage to face my own struggles.
But does this song in any way relate to the food for the gods which is cacao or chocolate? No, there is no direct relationship between the song and the food for the gods. The lyrics of the song just reminded me of my current situation and gave me the strength to face it.
When one is emotionally traumatized, does chocolate help? Probably not. But having a positive attitude helps in such situations, and the song helped me cultivate that. Music has the power to transform us and can help us feel empowered in times of distress.
The song is just one I thought I'd share with you, and I hope you enjoy it.
