I was super excited about the topic for this week, “Children,” because of my deep love for children. I was once in Sunday school, and after I graduated, I became a teacher myself. I truly love kids, and children also love me.
One scripture I have always loved says, “Let the little children come to me, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.” It also reminds us that before anyone can enter the kingdom of heaven, they must become like one of these little ones. Children do not keep records of wrongs, and they do not carry the weight of many things adults struggle with.
I want to celebrate the facilitators for choosing this amazing topic because it opens our eyes to realities we often overlook.
Being a child is not an easy thing, especially considering how society is going and how the economy of nations is becoming something else. It takes a child to still believe that things will work out good even when everything seems to be falling apart. It is only a child who can look at you as a father and ask you to buy an aeroplane and truly believe you can do it. Children believe in possibilities where adults see impossibilities.
So, being childlike has a lot to do with our daily lives. We need to rearrange our mindset and begin to think like children again. Once you decide to do something, don’t focus on the factors that may limit you focus on the possibilities within it.
I may not have the best way to explain this, but because I have spent time with children, I have learned so much from them.
I pray the Lord grants us understanding and gives us the grace to walk in His footsteps.
