Today I returned to my garden activities with enthusiasm and gratitude for the rich nature. As usual, I wore my favorite rubber boots, because the terrain I faced was full of damp soil and bamboo shards.
🍄 Finding Reishi Mushrooms (Ganoderma lucidum)
While walking along the trunk of an old coconut tree, I found a very interesting mushroom! The color was shiny dark red, with a white underside. This is what is known as Reishi or Lingzhi mushrooms, one of the legendary medicinal mushrooms in Chinese medicine.
Some of the mushrooms looked young, round like shoots, while others were already wide and mature. I was very happy to find them growing naturally in my own garden. This could be an indication that the surrounding environment is quite humid and supports the growth of natural organisms.
🎋 Cutting and Cleaning Bamboo
In addition to hunting for mushrooms, I also continued cleaning the garden. One of today's tasks was to cut down old bamboo stems and tidy up the leaves and branches. I will later use these bamboos for various purposes, such as fences, climbing poles.
This job is quite tiring, but it is very satisfying when you see the land getting cleaner and tidier.
💬 Activities like this make me closer to nature and appreciate every living thing around us more.
Thank you for reading, see you in the next activity! 🙏
