The morning began with a calm atmosphere and cool air. I sat on the porch enjoying a cup of hot coffee, its distinctive aroma filling the air and bolstering my enthusiasm for the day. As I sipped slowly, I savored the simple moment one of the little things that always make a morning special.
Afterward, I began my routine task of sewing prayer caps. The sound of the sewing machine echoed rhythmically in my small workspace. Each stitch of thread became part of a piece of work that would be worn during prayer. Time seemed to pass quickly while I focused on sewing, and before I knew it, the sun was already high. By midday, I had completed several prayer caps, one by one, with meticulous care and gratitude.
As evening approached, I prepared to head to the rice fields to monitor the progress of the rice plants. The evening sky was beginning to turn yellow, and a gentle breeze blew from the north, bringing the distinctive aroma of rice paddy mud. Upon arriving at the fields, I checked the water level to ensure it remained stable and sufficient for the plants' needs. Afterward, I cleared the weeds that had begun to grow along the edges of the fields to prevent them from interfering with the rice growth. Although this work requires effort, there's a certain satisfaction in seeing the rice fields maintained and tidy.
Before leaving, I stood for a moment, watching the sun slowly set behind the green expanse of rice paddies. The golden orange light reflected off the surface of the water, creating a beautiful and calming sight.
