I first heard this song in the TV series H2O, Just Add Water. + It is the theme song of the show, and it captures the essence of the mermaid storyline of the show.

It's a very nice Australian fantasy children's television show called H2O: Just Add Water, and the creator of the TV show was Jonathan M. Shiff.
In the TV show, three teens became magical mermaids when they wandered into a mystical pool during a full moon on a remote island. I can't remember the details, it has been a long time since I watched the TV show.
In that series, three ordinary teen girls who were trying to figure out and manage their teen lives suddenly became girls with superpowers, and they could transform into mermaids.
They only transform into mermaids when they come into contact with water.
At first, they were in a cave having fun in a pool. Suddenly, something strange happened to the water while they were in it, and that event changed everything for them.
However, they didn't realize it until the next day. When they realized what had happened, they were shocked.
Throughout the scenes in the series, the girls try to manage their mermaid and ordinary lives as teens.
As time passed, they eventually started to learn to accept their mermaid abilities and use them to their advantage.
I can't really remember what happened by the end of the series, but I don't think they became ordinary girls again.
However, I remember that they used their mermaid abilities in a positive way.
When the main characters become mermaids, there is a magical transformation that happens, which relates to the song's message about embracing one's uniqueness.
As I thought about what to sing, I decided to sing an acapella cover of the song, and I hope you enjoy it.
