AfriTunes week 67: Hard To Find by Chike. Cover by @didiee

Good day friends of the Afri-Tunes Community. It's yet again another lovely week to present amazing African Tunes and enjoy the performances of others too.

This week, I chose a song by Chike who is an African artiste and sings mostly amazing love songs. Since the community is about promoting love and unity through African Tunes, I decided to pick this song because of the meaning, vibe and language used. The song was sung in Nigerian pidgin English and Igbo language. Funny enough, I'm not an Igbo girl but I love the language so much. I'm currently learning the language.

Just in case you didn't know, I'm a hopeless romantic, or you can call me a lover girl hence my reason for loving this song so much. In the song, Chike shares insight on how long he met the girl he's singing about and how he knew from onset that he'd marry her. He also said the universe has to know her. That is what I call intentionality. Men who date with intentions, good intentions! 😁 A real man shows off his woman because he's proud of her.

He speaks of how they complement each other that she's tender and will help calm his fierce temper and she's fire too and will keep him warm when cold. The chorus says that a beautiful lady with a good heart and a handsome man with money are hard to find and can't be found on the road. I totally agree! I still dey find this man sef😩
Chike goes on to explain that his girl has a beautiful body and he has plenty of money so she should come and eat good things…. I wish I can marry this Chike 😩 Seems like he knows how to take care of a woman. 😁

how calm and peaceful you sing. it calms the heart! you also seem to be enjoying the song. I wondered how better it would be if there had been a background backing track! In essence, great work!

I'm so sorry for just replying. I didn't see this comment.

I really enjoyed this song. It's sad that I can't always accompany my presentation with a musical instrument or backing track.

I've used a backing track a few times but in those times, I had to borrow someone else's phone to play the track in the background while I use my phone to record.

I hope to find a solution to this soon so I can be making more amazing presentations. Thank you for your comment.

Hopeless romantic is actually a phrase that means someone who holds sentimental and idealistic views on love, especially in spite of experience, evidence, or exhortations otherwise.
