For Week 142, Round 1 of the Hive Music Festival (HMF), I decided to do a piano cover of a powerful gospel song originally done by Joe Mettle, featuring Sumisola. Joe Mettle is a well respected African gospel artist from Ghana whose music has touched lives far and wide. His songs are inspiring and a huge blessing to the body of Christ, inspiring many hearts to worship, reflect, and draw closer to God. The particular song I did the rendition is no exception; it carries such depth and spiritual weight focusing our gaze on Jesus.
Sumisola, who was featured in this very song, is also a gifted gospel singer from Nigeria. She is one of those rare beautiful ministers who have humbled themselves in service to God and humanity, letting go of self pride and choosing to minister in truth and spirit. Her voice adds a very beautiful and awesome dimension to the message of the song.
I chose to play this song not just because of its melody, but because of its deep meaning and relevance in my life and to the lives of other believers. It is a worship song that 's aims at bringing us to the feet of our Father the Almighty God. Worship isn’t just about singing; it can be expressed through giving, serving, going to the mission field, or simply living a life that brings glory to God.
This song speaks loudly of honor and adoration to God Almighty. I pray it blesses your soul just as it has blessed mine countless times.
