Hello, awesome people of the Hive Music Festival Community!
I’m @akwash360, and I’m super excited to be part of this week’s edition of the festival. For my entry, I’ll be presenting a cover of the song "God of Vengeance" originally performed by Minister GUC, a talented gospel singer and songwriter from Nigeria, specifically from Portharcourt.
This song holds a very special place in my heart. Each time I listen to it, I feel deeply inspired and spiritually uplifted. The message behind the lyrics speaks volumes about God’s mighty power, His justice, and His love for His people. It brings reassurance that no matter the battles we face in life, we serve a God who fights for us and always wins on our behalf. The reference to the victory on the cross of Calvary reminds us that the ultimate price has already been paid, and as believers, we stand on that victory.
Musically, the production of the original track is nothing short of excellent. From the lead vocals to the backup harmonies, everything blends perfectly to create a soul-lifting worship experience. The instrumentalists also did a fantastic job in setting the tone for the message, it’s heartfelt and powerful.
It’s my humble honor to share this cover with you, and I genuinely hope it blesses you the same way the original blessed me.
