I’m @akwash360, and in this week’s edition of Afri-tunes, I’ll be doing a cover of the song “You Are Good” by Jo-E. The songwriter is a gospel artist from the northern part of Nigeria. This particular song means a lot to me because it describes how good and merciful our God is to humanity. Many of us can testify that our God is indeed good, and His mercies endure forever.
One of the reasons I love this song is because the lyrics are so meaningful. From all indications, the songwriter took his time to sit, reflect, and receive this divine inspiration. It’s such a powerful piece, and I must confess, it has blessed me deeply. I’ve listened to it over and over again, and I encourage anyone who hasn’t heard it yet to pay close attention to the lyrics. It’s a song that truly ministers to the soul.
Aside from the beautiful message, the sound quality is also top-notch. I must commend Jo-E and his amazing team for their dedication and commitment to producing such great music. Every team member gave their best, and that excellence is clearly reflected in the final output. The backup singers were exceptional, and the instrumentalists did an incredible job as well.
I genuinely enjoyed every bit of the original song, and I hope you enjoy my cover too.
