I'm excited to share my entry this week in the Afritunes community, despite how time management has been one of the major things I have been struggling with in my life currently.
I have been trying to find a balance between my personal and professional life and this is the first step towards achieving that goal. I am hopeful that my entry will be welcomed by the community and I am looking forward to connecting with like-minded people.

The song excess love Mercy Chinwo speaks about God's love for his children. This message of love and mercy is something I will always carry with me as I strive to find balance in my life. It gives me hope for a better and brighter future. I am ready to take the next step in my journey.
However, for my entry this week, I will do a cover of Naomi Mac's version. Ever since I watched her mind-blowing performance on the Voice Nigeria, she became my role model and I have always wanted to do my cover too.
As usual, I recorded my video, and then audio. I didn't want to add backup vocals initially, but I had to when I saw that it sounded scanty, (the vocals weren't full). I cut the instrumental to match the length of my audio and then added effects to make the sound quality better, using Bandlab.
Naomi Mac is a powerhouse. I enjoyed her performances all through the time spent in the voice show. Sadly, her fans could not listen to her last performance which was Flashlight because she didn't make it to the top 3.
In my opinion, something went wrong, it looked intentional like they didn't want Naomi Mac to win.
On the other hand, I can just say, maybe Naomi Mac's votes weren't enough.
Above all, she remains a star, and will always be a star. It's a shame that she didn't win, but it doesn't take away from all that she has achieved. She is still an inspiration to many and will continue to be a great role model.
