Hi everyone, welcome to my blog.
This is AFRI-TUNES WEEK 285, in this video I sang a Hausa song titled "Sai dai Kalmar godiya".
This is a Hausa song that embodies words of gratitude conveyed beautifully in the lyrics which interpretes :
'We bring to you, oh God, words of gratitude, Nothing else we bring to you only words of gratitude'. The melody of this song perfectly complements it's lyrics, creating a soothing interaction that communicates our hearts to God.
I recently lost my grandmother, a devoted lover of God. When I sang this song, it triggered fond memories of our time together, particularly during morning devotions. We'd sing it repeatedly, expressing our gratitude and counting our blessings, marveling at God's goodness, it was a hard moment for me loosing a beautiful soul who loved wholeheartedly, yet in these times I sing 'sai dai kalmar godiya'.
This song generally holds wealth of memories from my childhood. Growing up in an Hausa Orthodox Church, I remember when our parents sang this Christian folk song with sincerity, raising pure incense of thanksgiving to God. And just as the Bible urges us to give thanks at all times and in every circumstance, I encourage you to learn to give thanks either the seasons are favorable or not.
Take out time to reflect on God's word for this season whatever you are going through, learn to say sai dai kalmar godiya and everything will be ok, eventually. Thank you very much for listening and reading through, I remain @ShemJosh.
