The morning begins with a simple pleasure: a cup of hot coffee that soothes the mind and warms the body. The distinctive aroma of coffee seems to energize a busy day. After enjoying my coffee, I immediately get ready to deliver bread to my favorite shops around Lhokseumawe. The wet roads from last night's rain add to the cool, albeit slightly slippery, morning atmosphere.
However, my enthusiasm for completing the work remains high, especially seeing the smiles of loyal customers who eagerly await the fresh bread each day.
As the afternoon approaches, my activities shift to the routine at home.
I continue with the sewing work that has piled up over the past few days. During my breaks, I also take the time to burn trash to keep the yard clean and tidy. I also check on the progress of the plants in the garden especially the spinach and mung beans that have been planted for a few weeks.
The alternating heavy and light rain over the past few days has led to weed growth, requiring extra attention to ensure the main crops are not disturbed.
Despite the sometimes unfriendly weather, seeing the plants thrive is a source of satisfaction.
Each day feels productive, balancing working to earn a living and caring for the environment. The day ended with gratitude for all the activities we'd done, while hoping for more enthusiasm and friendlier weather tomorrow. 🌿☕🌧️
