We often tend to be focused on the here and now. And that may be a good thing, depending on the situation. Whether you're cooking something, taking an exam or trading cryptocurrency, being focused on the moment is a must if you want to succeed. However, being too focused on the task at hand can have a negative effect on your motivation and spirit, especially in cases where that specific task is something you hate: like eating greens when you where a kid. For most that latter task was one to be dreaded, BUT it served a purpose, getting strong and healthy.
Statistically many of us are doing some kind of daily labor to earn an income. Whether it be construction, agriculture or some 9-5 office job and not everyone may like what they are doing whenever they partake in that activity of earning income. This can get people down, demotivated and even worse: depressed. Anyone who finds themselves in such a situation can turn this around. How you ask? By setting goals and keeping those on your mind.
Keep your eye on that red flag on top of the mountain. The thing that your doing all of it for. For me that would be exploring the world and enjoying life as a financial independent individual. But you may want world peace, or to become the president of the world. The sky is the limit, and then go even more beyond that. The small or bothersome task at hand is just something you have to do to reach the goals you have set. Once you can alter your mindset to be fixed on that light at the end of the tedious tunnel, you will have no trouble letting your goals be the unstoppable driving force in your life.
