Hello Afri-tunes community, I hope we're all doing good. It's afri-tunes music event here again, and for this week #58 I'll be presenting a cover of one of the suggested songs titled "onishe iyanu" by Nathaniel Bassey.
This is one of my best songs by Nathaniel Bassey, I love that part "onishe Iyanu" in the song... sometime ago I don't really know the full lyrics so when it gets to the chorus part I'll sing it like any other thing, lol... you know that moment when they're singing hymn in church, you don't know the verses but you only know the chorus, you might be silent when they are singing the verses you'll just be doing as if you're also singing, deep down you know you're not but when it gets to the chorus that you know so well, you sing it with passion and very loud with so much joy 😃 that's what have been facing with this song but fortunately for me I tried to know the lyrics to some extent.
Onishe Iyanu is no other person but God, the one who does great and mighty thing that's beyond human reasoning, He has done so much for me that I can't even remember some of His wonderful deeds.
He fights my battle, He defend me even when I'm unconscious of my environment, He makes my enemies my footstool, He provides for me at all time, He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies, He makes me live with them in peace. He shuts the mouth of the wicked ones so they can do me no harm, blessed be the name of the Lord.
