WEEKLY CONTEST 37

Warm greetings to all Lovers of Music and Afri-tunes,it's another week of contest and I'm glad to participate.

I welcome you all to week 37 of the Afri-tunes where we cherish and appreciate African music and artists.
For this week's contest,I decided to sing a song titled ''aka akaya'' in igbo, but it means "The arm of the lord'' in english, also meaning ''owo oluwa" in yoruba.

I decided to sing this song in different language, not because of anything, because our God is a God that understand all languages without learning, I decided in me to just acknowledge Him in diverse tongues although the original is just in igbo language, but I recreated it.

It's a song that explains God's omnipotence, the one who saves with His mighty hands, the all sufficient God.
The stream of life, who gives water to the thirsty,His might is unmeasurable and incomparable to none.

I chose this song to express gratitude to God on How ,He saved me from sickness recently, I had to be hospitalized for all types of illness, different hospital with different test result. But thanks to God am good now.

LYRICS;

Refrain:
Aka Aka Ya (The arm of the Lord)
Aka Jehovah na’eme mma (The arm of the Lord does great things)
Olu ebube ya (The display of His splendor)
Nke na eruari na’ebem no (I see all around me)
Isi iyi nke ndu (The stream of life)
Nke na dighi ata’ta (That never runs dry)
Aka aka ya (The arm of the Lord)
Aka Jehovah na’eme mma (The arm of His strength does great things)

Daddy mu, (Father,)
Onye na-eme mma etu i si eme m? (Who favors me like You?)
Ngi bu chi mu (You are my God)
Aka aka ya (The arm of the Lord)
Aka Jehovah na’eme mma (The arm of His strength does great things)

Onye ukwu, Onye isi (The Magnificent, The Principle)
Daddy na-akwa uzo (Father who paves the way)
Ekele dili aha gi (Thanks be unto Your Name)
Aka aka ya (The arm of the Lord)
Aka Jehovah na’eme mma (The arm of His strength does great things)

Aka na-akpu nwa (The Potter’s hand)
Aka na-enye ndu (The Author of Life)
Daddy na-eme mma, lo… (Father who does great things)
Aka aka ya (The arm of the Lord)
Aka Jehovah na’eme mma (The arm of His strength does great things)
