Talking about the inspiration behind this song. It talks about breakups and the feeling of disappointment for getting breakup because things no longer went the way they used to and especially financial wise.
I feel that relationships should be established and built on love rather than on material things like riches or even beauty. I agree that something must always attract someone to another but that thing must not remain the nucleus of the relationship.
With the passage of time, the relationship should be able to develop to a relation of unconditional love where each partner is able to condole the excesses of the other and live peacefully.
Listening to the way Lewis sang this song, I also felt it just like most of those persons who I have watched in videos crying while listening to the song.
It's really painful when we give someone our heart but the person does not treat it well. The person does not give us in return what we have given. It's that bad that some people can't manage it and try to kill themselves. But then that's never the solution.
This however teaches us the uncertainty of anything in life. We must also learn to reserve some pieces of ourselves for ourselves when we try to fall in love. It helps us not to kill ourselves when we eventually lose them.

Hablando de la inspiración detrás de esta canción. Habla sobre las rupturas y la sensación de decepción por obtener una ruptura porque las cosas ya no eran como solían hacerlo y especialmente en el sabio financiero.
