AFRI-TUNES WEEK 184 - Yesu Masoyina (Piano Cover)
Welcome to my entry for what is week 183 of the Afritunes weekly event. I bring us a piano cover of "Yesu Masoyina" by Solomon Lange. Yesu Masoyina also known as Jesus my lover is a song that have thrived so well around my axis and still blessing people till date. My first encounter with the song was when I watched a funeral video of Boy's Brigade victims who lost their lives to a terrible accident in Plateau state sometimes ago. They conducted a mass burial for the victims because they where more than 10 in number. "Yesu Masoyina" was the background song used for the video and honestly it made the video hit so deeply.
It's a song from the Hausa dialect, glorifying the name of the Lord who is our lover and saviour. The song talks about how difficult times may come but nothing should separate us from the love of God.
The song made extra meaning to me listening to it and watching the mass burial of the kids in the Boys Brigade who's lives was taken away by accident. It's more like a prove to how void life really is, how uncertainties can take a grip on us at any moment either positively or negatively. At the end it's only us and our maker, tomorrow isn't promised and so when the came let it be that we are ready...
