Holler Hive Open Mic Community, Greetings to y'all. Glad to be sharing my entry this week #121, For this week's theme "Amor de Familia" which was chosen by recent spotlight artist @osmely, I'd be covering a song by Danish pop band "Lukas Graham" called "7 years".
In โ7 Yearsโ, the Danish group Lukas Graham reflect on their life and wonder about growing older. Nostalgia from ages 7, 11, and 20 are explored before the band goes on to wonder about their life in the possible future; specifically, when theyโre 30 or 60, or when they have kids or a wife. The song is piano driven with a minimal soulful beat.
โ7 Yearsโ is a song by popular Danish band Lukas Graham which basically deals with the topic of growing older. According to Lukas Graham lead vocalist Lukas Forchhammer, the song is about events in his life and the things he hopes to achieve in the coming years. One of the real events of his life he mentions in the lyrics of the song is โsmoking herbโ and taking burning alcoholic beverages. And whatโs interesting is the he did these at the age of 11.
Speaking with Radio.com, Forchhammer said the song is mainly about his aim to become a good father. He hopes to become such a wonderful father that even when he is old and boring, his children would want to visit him frequently. According to him, he had a โperfect fatherโ who was very cool.
