Hello everyone, this is Afri-tunes Week 174. I’m @akwash360, and in this week’s rendition, I will be doing a cover of the song “Way Maker” by Sinach, a renowned Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader.
Sinach is one of the gospel artists I truly enjoy listening to. Her style of music is deeply inspiring and ministers to my soul in remarkable ways. I can still vividly remember how I came across her music, through her powerful song “I Know Who I Am,” which she released about 12 years ago. Since then, I’ve grown to love her songs and could listen to them repeatedly without ever getting tired.
In this particular song, Way Maker, Sinach and her team did an outstanding job. First, the composition itself is highly meaningful and spiritually uplifting. The message of the song portrays God as the Way Maker, the One who makes a way where there seems to be none. It beautifully captures God’s sovereignty and His power to transform lives and change situations, no matter how impossible they may seem.
The backup singers also did an excellent job in delivering their respective parts. Their coordination and harmonies contributed immensely to the beauty of the song. I must also commend the instrumentalists, their professionalism, unity, and mastery of their instruments added a rich depth to the sound. Their effort truly stood out.
I was deeply blessed by the original song, and I hope this cover blesses you just as much.
