Hello everyone, and welcome back to my blog!
I’m @akwash360, and in this week’s rendition, I’ll be presenting a heartfelt cover of the beautiful song “Ina Marmari Zumunta da Kai” by Pastor Chintok Ishaku. The Hausa phrase “Ina marmari zumunta da kai” translates to “I long to fellowship with You (God)” — a deeply spiritual expression of desire for communion with the Lord.
This is one of my favorite Hausa gospel songs, and I truly enjoy singing it. It resonates with my spirit because it demonstrates the kind of longing and passion every believer should have for the presence of God. The song is not just a melody; it’s a deep spiritual cry, a surrender, a plea, and a declaration of love and dependence on God.
As I meditated on the lyrics, I realized how powerful it is to offer ourselves willingly to God. The more we make ourselves available to Him, the more He makes Himself available to us. In this song, the artist isn’t just singing; he’s pouring out his heart, asking God to reveal His love more deeply and expressing a readiness to follow Him wholeheartedly, no matter the cost.
I see this song as more than just a musical piece, it’s a form of worship and a spiritual guide that can lead anyone willing to listen into deeper fellowship with God. As the Bible says in Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” So if you call upon his name in order to fellowship with him then he will definitely reveal himself to you.
I was blessed by the original version, and I truly hope this cover blesses your heart as well.
